Name: Monty
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Species: Moogle
Height: 2'7"
Weight: 23lbs
Appearance: A Moogle who's face is covered by a hood with only a small hole on the top for his pom-pom to be exposed. He wears a light robe, keeping it about him at all times, allowing him to move quietly and quickly.
Alliance: none
Personality: Quiet, enigmatic
History:
A history filled with mediocrity in all things plagued Monty as he grew. Not only had others been able to do everything he tried to do to separate himself away from the group with, they could do it better. Many were faster, stronger, but few smarter. He didn't acknowledge this as a strength in his young age, for he hadn't yet discovered how intelligent he truly was.
When he turned twelve, Monty found a new interest, but hid it from others in fear that they'd find yet another thing in which they could beat him at. At that point of his life, he became introverted, speaking very rarely to others, hardly going out. He had received the gift from his father on his birthday and from that day on, he'd never seem the same.
The gift he had received on that day was one quite odd, merely a puppet, but a puppet unlike all others. It's eyes had a strange glow, one that pierced deep into your being. He'd stay with this puppet, discovering a natural sort of knack he had for it. After a few months, he'd not even leave his house, rather sending his puppets to do his chores for him.
After a few years, he'd not leave his room. He'd collect a few more puppets and even began the art of creating his own, but he hadn't yet gotten it perfect. Needless to say, his parents were worried. A fifteen year old Moogle shouldn't be at home all day, he should be out and about, learning life skills and the like. They had attempted to speak to him about it, but he had shut them out, paying them no heed.
Other: Monty has a small collection of puppets, even the ability to create minor ones of his own. He has a special power that enables him to take control of his puppets and task them with errands and chores, maybe even more.
:It Begins:
With a scuttle and a scurry, a small creature slyly meandered through the shadows out of a house. It swiftly moved towards a bustling shopping center as if it had some purpose. Quickly and quietly it moved, approaching a vegetable shop. The proprietor of the shop looked down at the strange creature, spotting a note on it's chest. Smiling, he filled a sack and handed it to the creature, which promptly handed over a few coins, then turned and scuttled off to the place it came from.
The shop keeper turn and walked towards his assistant, handing her the note. She read it, a little confused to what happened. The shopkeeper, acknowledging this, spoke,"You just started helping me around here, so I guess you don't know. The thing that came in here, maybe you didn't see it, it is a quiet little thing. It is actually one of my favorite customers. It is a puppet, come to think of it, I've never even seen the puppet master that sends it, but he always sends enough coins, and some extra as a tip."
The assistant smirked, then went back to work. The tiny puppet ran through the crowds, getting back to the house. It entered through the window, approaching a small Moogle sitting upon a bed. It raised the sack, standing still now. The Moogle stirred, reaching to grab the bag. As it took the bag, it's voice came, steady yet silent,"Thank you, Tujin." He opened the bag and removed an apple, eating it immediately.
Monty sat silently, he had been undisturbed for months. He had discovered that his parents vanished not too long ago. They'd left a note for him, but he'd not read it for several days, not until he had run out of food and had wanted to get some money from them. Tujin had been sent with a note for them, but they couldn't be found. Instead, Tujin had returned with a small bag and a note. The note read thusly:
Monty, your father and I have decided that we should go. It isn't healthy for a Moogle your age to stay in his room all day. A bag of coins was left with this note, it isn't much, but it will help.
At his discovery of the note, he was unsure of what he had to do, but now he saw it clearly. He no longer had wanted to stay at home, and now he had used up the rest of his money. He had been sending Tujin to retrieve pieces of equipment to aid he. He had decided the venture, he'd not find what he wanted sitting at home all day. He would be leaving in the next few hours, possibly never to return to his village.
You are walking in a forest and find a nearly dead deer. What will you do? - Monty would have his puppet put the poor thing out of it's misery, then feast upon the carcass. Everything needs it's nourishment, and suffering must be ended.
You are trapped in a cave with you friends (if you have any) and are running extremely low on food. What do you do? - Have the puppets go out of the cave and forage, with no need for them to eat or drink, it is much less likely that less will come back as if it would be if a living being were sent.
Your best friend turns on you and is trying to kill you. What do you do? - Monty has few friends, but would probably just knock him out until he had a chance to get farther away. Killing isn't on his mind.
You are new in town and a friendly face comes up and introduces themselves and offers to show you around. What do you do? -Accept the offer, all the time looking for ideas.
